school next year brainstorm

Since we have 5 children, I've found it much easier to follow SCM for history, geo, and Bible. I go to Ambleside for almost everything else, lit (at their age levels)., poetry, shakespeare, folk songs, hymns, composer study, artist study...and then do the outdoor hour challenge for nature study. So, we do everything together except lit & math & some language arts...grammar/handwriting/dictation. Hope this helps!

or maps we have our girls make a small figure on an index card (or a picture) which we place around the border of our large wall map and then connect that with a length of yarn to the proper place on the map.

dress you Body, Brush your teeth, brush your hair, make your Bed and read the Bible (you could also add eat Breakfast- but my kids don't need reminders about that!)

t started as a "high five" and I made a little chart .. Mostly self care like wash up, brush teeth, put on pj's, try potty, tidy up bedroom. When it is complete we usually do prayers and stories. I have expanded the am list to include some chores. They are to get dressed, make beds, and unload the dishwasher before breakfast.
